Women in Pennsylvania Government: Secretary of the Department of Aging Teresa Osborne

Secretary of the Department of Aging, Teresa Osborne, joined The PLS Reporter for "Women in Pennsylvania Government."

Sec. Osborne began her career in the Department of Human Services 26 years ago, and hasn't looked back since. She admitted that her grandmother was a big part of why she entered this field. Sec. Osborne watched her grandmother fall ill and she saw how the social workers brought her family comfort and she claimed "something clicked with me" which made her want to pursue this career path.

Rep. Rothman (R-Cumberland) introduces legislation to help military veterans

State Rep. Greg Rothman (R-Cumberland) introduced legislation that would help American military veterans learn to start and run small businesses in the commonwealth.

“This bill would create jobs for American workers by providing entrepreneurial support to the men and women who defended our nation,” Rothman said. “Many of the men and women who serve or served in our armed forces have the skills, discipline and ambition necessary to run a successful business.”
