Rep. Jim Christiana (R-Beaver) discussed House Bill 2145 with The PLS Reporter Wednesday morning.
The bill, if passed, would abolish all property taxes in Pennsylvania.
Rep. Christiana stated in his interview that he believed, "property taxes are the most unfair, anti-american tax" in Pennsylvania. He said that if the property tax was eliminated then there would be four ways to make up the money.
His four ways included an increase in personal income tax, an expansion of the personal income tax, an increase in the sales tax and an expansion in the sales tax.
