With summer over, lawmakers resume push to restrict domestic abusers' access to guns

Advocates and lawmakers took their campaign to push the passage of a bill to restrict convicted domestic abusers’ access to firearms across the commonwealth this week.

In events in Pittsburgh, State College, Reading and West Chester, bipartisan members of the Pennsylvania House called for an immediate vote on the legislation, HB 2060. It would mandate that, after a judge’s order, protection from abuse recipients hand over their guns within 24 hours.
