Mayor Kenney sets vision of future with budget address

If Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney (D) wins re-election this fall, Fiscal Year 2024 will be the last he oversees while in office. In his budget address before City Council Thursday, he outlined a city making great strides in those five years. 

Joined by city officials and other luminaries, Kenney delivered his FY 2020 budget, totaling just under $5 billion. The city has projected about $4.9 billion in revenue, with no proposed new taxes.
