House debates, passes bill to rewrite conventional drilling rules

Fewer regulations would be on the menu for parts of Pennsylvania's oil and gas industry under a bill that passed the House Tuesday.

HB 2154, sponsored by Rep. Martin Causer (R-McKean), would follow up on 2012’s Act 13 by  reforming rules for conventional oil and gas wells, which are smaller and shallower compared to unconventional fracking wells.

Greenleaf's bill protecting child victims of human trafficking heads to House Floor

Sen. Stewart Greenleaf's (R-Montgomery) Safe Harbor bill passed out of the House Judiciary Committee Tuesday morning.

Sen. Greenleaf created the bill to protect the child victims of human trafficking from criminal prosecution. He was joined by his colleagues, survivors and advocates for a rally after the committee meeting to call for the House and Senate to pass this bill.
