Wednesday brought multiple press conferences to the Capitol

Starting with the American Red Cross, the Capitol saw lots of press conferences throughout Wednesday. 

Representatives from American Rep Cross joined to discuss certain safety measures.

Later lawmakers joined to discuss priorities of the PA SAFE Caucus which brings light to state firearm and public safety. 

Next Sen. Arthur Haywood (D-Montgomery) and Sen. Vincent Hughes(D-Philadelphia) joined others to announce a new plan to gain additional revenue for the Commonwealth. 

Lastly, several Democratic lawmakers joined to discuss the effects the commonwealth would face if the Affordable Care Act would be repealed.

PA game, fish commissions one step closer to setting own licensing fees

After unanimous approval Tuesday by the Senate Appropriations Committee, the Pennsylvania Game Commission and Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission are one step closer to being able to set their own licensing fees.

Pittsburgh Mayor declares day of solidarity with immigrant residents

Mayor Bill Peduto wants immigrants and refugees to know that Pittsburgh is a welcoming city for all. 

Peduto joined the U.S. Conference of Mayors, declaring Tuesday the Cities’ Immigration Day of Action- a declaration of solidarity with immigrant families around the city and nation.
