Seven domestic violence bills advance through Senate

All passed unanimously, with one ready for the governor's signature and the rest heading for the House

A bipartisan group of senators Tuesday announced their hopes for an upcoming vote on a package of seven bills that address domestic violence in Pennsylvania. All would go on to pass the Senate Wednesday.

Lawmakers shared concerns about the lack of regulation for ongoing and future pipeline projects in Pennsylvania during Tuesday’s joint hearing with the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee and the Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure Committee.


“We have to protect our citizens,” Sen. Tommy Tomlinson (R-Bucks) said. “Safety is paramount.”
