House Judiciary chair wants public feedback about gun laws

Chairman Ron Marsico (R-Dauphin) announced Wednesday during the House Judiciary Committee’s last in a series of gun policy meetings that he wants the public to share its opinions about how to tackle gun violence. He encouraged members of the public to submit written testimony to his Capitol office, and selected advocacy groups will be invited to testify in person at a hearing in May.

On Wednesday morning a group of legislators joined members of the Pennsylvania State Education Association to discuss a package of bills that was approved by the House Education Committee earlier this week.

This nine-bill package is aimed at ensuring high-quality career and technical programs and also informing students, parents and the public about the benefits of career and technical education.

Bipartisan bills aim at shifting Pennsylvania to 100-percent renewable energy

Rep. Chris Rabb (D-Philadelphia) was joined by colleagues and advocates today to talk about two bills that are currently in the legislature, House Bill 2132 and companion legislation introduced by Sen. Charles Mcllhinney (R-Bucks), Senate Bill 1104. 


The bills have a goal of transitioning Pennsylvania to 100% renewable energy by 2050.
