Pittsburgh City Council approves money for outside lobbyists, early pre-k task force and new transportation department

Pittsburgh City Council gave final votes on a number of pieces of legislation Tuesday, including bills that would provide $128,000 to outside lobbyists to address the city’s legislative priorities in Harrisburg and Washington.
At the state level, the City hopes Malady & Wooten, Inc. will address issues such affordable housing, paid sick leave legislation, funding for RACP projects and other priorities before the state General Assembly, while at the federal level the focus for Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney will be more on a consent agreement between Alcosan and the EPA on storm water requirements, transportation funding, and building a relationship with the new Trump administration.
