Senate GOP sends blistering letter to Fetterman, says he ‘scarred the institution’ during General Assistance dispute

The entirety of the Pennsylvania Senate Republican Caucus sent a letter to Lt. Gov. John Fetterman on Tuesday excoriating the lieutenant governor for allowing a Democratic senator to speak on the floor against Senate rules in the midst of a heated debate on ending a cash assistance program for the poor.

The letter, signed by all 28 Republican senators, accused Fetterman of scarring the institution when he allowed Sen. Katie Muth (D-Montgomery) to read a letter from a constituent as Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman was calling for a point of order.
