Senate poised to urge Gov. Wolf to reverse portion of state park natural gas leasing moratorium

A resolution making its way through the state Senate urges Gov. Tom Wolf to reverse his moratorium on new natural gas drilling leases in state parks by allowing drilling where there will be no surface disturbance.

 

The measure, Senate Resolution 104 sponsored by Sen. Camera Bartolotta (R-Washington), was passed out of the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee Tuesday along a party-line vote.

Legislation seeks to provide patient-centered best practices in opioid addiction treatment

Sen. Camera Bartolotta (R-Washington) announced Wednesday she has introduced legislation that would require addiction treatment centers to adopt patient-centered best practices as a means to treat opioid addiction.

 

The Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Treatment Act—now Senate Bill 428—requires the treatment centers, often sources of a singular source of treatment, to provide a panoply of treatment options to meet the specific needs of a consumer seeking their help.
