Three years on, Pittsburgh Council hears complaints on landlord registry at public hearing

Pittsburgh City Council held a public hearing on a long talked about policy that requires landlords to register their property Wednesday.

Despite passing in 2015, the ordinance has not yet been enacted because of a legal challenge from a group of local landlords.

Pittsburgh City Council Wednesday tentatively approved over $3.3 million in funding to expand a program to track gun shots in the city

Council also approved a public hearing to go over a bill passed in 2016 that created a landlord registry for city landowners.
