Berks County Detention Center receives mixed reviews after legislative visit; PA residents still hope to shut it down

Earlier this summer Rep. Chris Rabb (D-Philadelphia) and Sen. Judy Schwank (D-Berks) took a tour of the Berks County Detention Center. The center is one of three family detention centers in the country but multiple legislators and advocacy groups are hoping to shut it down.

Bipartisan bills aim at shifting Pennsylvania to 100-percent renewable energy

Rep. Chris Rabb (D-Philadelphia) was joined by colleagues and advocates today to talk about two bills that are currently in the legislature, House Bill 2132 and companion legislation introduced by Sen. Charles Mcllhinney (R-Bucks), Senate Bill 1104. 


The bills have a goal of transitioning Pennsylvania to 100% renewable energy by 2050.
