American Lung Association releases its 17th "State of Tobacco Control" report

The PLS Reporter sat down this week with Sarah Lawver, Advocacy Director for the American Lung Association, to discuss the group's latest "State of Tobacco Control" report. 

The report issues grades to states based on efforts to reduce and prevent tobacco use. In every category but one, Pennsylvania received a failing grade.

Scavello legislation would change the legal age to purchase tobacco from 18 to 21

Sen. Mario Scavello (R-Monroe) has paired up with the American Lung Association in Pennsylvania to pass Tobacco 21 legislation, which would raise the minimum legal sales age for tobacco products from 18 to 21 years of age.
