Sec. Topper discusses GO-TIME savings and successes

On Wednesday morning Secretary of the Department of General Services Curt Topper discussed the details of how his agency reduced government spending on goods and services over the last two years, saving around $143 million. 


Governor Wolf created the Governor’s Office of Transformation, Innovation, Management and Efficiency (GO-TIME) in 2015 to improve government operations and services.

Senators discuss Wolf's proposed lease-leaseback plan of Farm Show Complex to help with state budget deficit

The Senate Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, along with the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Education, Workforce, Community and Economic Development, held a joint hearing Tuesday to discuss a $200 million lease-leaseback proposal of the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center. 

In his 2017-2018 budget proposal, Gov. Tom Wolf proposed seeking a private investment company  to pay an upfront fee, presumably $200 million, to the Commonwealth to help fill a hole in the Commonwealth’s $2 billion structural deficit.
