Pittsburgh City Council gives stamp of approval for police to work Trump inauguration

Officers from the Pittsburgh Police force will be heading to Washington, D.C. to help provide security for President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration next week after Pittsburgh City Council signed off on the measure Tuesday morning. 

Thirteen officers and two supervisors will travel to the nation’s capital where they will be sworn in as Deputy U.S. Marshall’s to provide protection along the inauguration parade route on Friday, January 20.
