Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced this week that he is joining a multi-state lawsuit against the Trump Administration, challenging a new rule that makes changes to migrant detention in the United States.
Shapiro, along with 19 other attorneys general, are disputing a new Department of Homeland Security rule that codifies certain portions of the Flores Settlement Agreement (FSA), a 1997 agreement that set regulations for the detention, care and release of individuals in the country illegally.
