Bartos, Fetterman stand by their running mates in follow-up lieutenant governor debate

A week after the top of the tickets clashed for the one and only time, lieutenant governor candidates Jeff Bartos and John Fetterman ventured to Pittsburgh for what turned out to be a cordial debate on the commonwealth’s issues, from marijuana to gun control.

For 30 minutes, the two, who differ in political background and wardrobe, only shared a willingness to defend their running mates in a debate moderated by WPXI’s Katherine Amenta.

In bellwether Northampton County, Wagner makes his case for governor

Of the 17 statewide races held over the past decade, the winner of Northampton County has carried Pennsylvania in 15 of them.

The two who didn’t go on to win? Both native sons — including former Northampton County Executive John Brown in the 2016 auditor general’s race, and Former District Attorney John Morganelli in the 2008 attorney general’s race.

“If [Northampton County] likes a candidate, they will pick them up and drag them across the finish line,” Lee Snover, chairwoman of the county’s Republican Committee, said.
