New Cancer Society report shows Pennsylvania has work to do on policies to reduce cancer diagnoses and death

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) released their annual report Thursday which measures how states are doing when it comes to passing and implementing policies proven to reduce death from cancer.

The report had troubling news in terms of how the Commonwealth stacks up in terms of anti-cancer policies.

Report: Pennsylvania has work to do on cancer public policy

A report released Thursday by the American Cancer Society shows Pennsylvania’s cancer-related public policy is lagging behind.

The report, How Do You Measure up?: A Progress Report on State Legislative Activity to Reduce Cancer Incidence and Mortality, shows Pennsylvania is falling well short on four of the twelve key public policy points the American Cancer Society considers crucial to winning the fight against cancer.
