PLS FIGHTS HUNGER: SECOND ANNUAL CAPITOL ALL-STARS GAME ANNOUNCED

We laughed, we cried (mostly from laughing…some from falling), we raised a lot of money to fight hunger, and we’re ready to do it again.

For the second year in a row, legislators from both chambers and both sides of the aisle will come together for the Capitol All-Stars Softball Game to fight hunger. This year’s game will be Tuesday, September 24, 2014. The game will once again be held at Metro Bank Park on City Island in Harrisburg.

If you are interested in the events leading up to the first pitch, you can attend the Hunger Garden groundbreaking with the legislature’s Hunger Caucus at the Capitol building on April 29 at 9:00 a.m. Draft day for the softball game will be June 4 at 10:00 a.m. in the Capitol’s Main Rotunda.

In 2013, PLS partnered with the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN), the Hunger Caucus, and hunger eradication non-profit organizations to host the first Capitol All-Star Softball Game. The effort raised $62,000 for hunger eradication efforts in Pennsylvania.
